Albanian Qofte

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground meat beef or lamb
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onions, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small, round balls, about the size of a walnut.
  • Heat some olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Cook the meatballs in batches until they are browned and fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the Qofte from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  • Serve your homemade Albanian Qofte with a side of salad, rice, or as appetizers.
