Bombica Recipe

Albanian Bombica is a delightful no-bake dessert that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and nuts into bite-sized truffles. Perfect for any occasion, these truffles are quick and easy to make, requiring minimal ingredients and effort.
Prep Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of ground biscuits Digestive or graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped nuts walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut optional, for rolling

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground biscuits, finely chopped nuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Mix well to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Add Wet Ingredients:
  • Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is well combined and forms a sticky dough.
  • Shape the Truffles:
  • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls using your hands. If the mixture is too sticky, you can lightly dust your hands with cocoa powder.
  • Coat the Truffles:
  • Roll each truffle in desiccated coconut (if using) to coat them evenly. This adds a nice texture and enhances the flavor.
  • Chill:
  • Place the truffles on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least an hour. This helps them firm up and enhances their flavor.
