In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt.
Gradually add the warm water (and milk, if using) to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking tray.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
Let it cool before slicing.
